The Kauri Museum, Northland
Earlier this year members of IPA celebrated their 40th Anniversary with overseas visitors visiting the museum and surrounds.
This outstanding museum features the magnificent Kauri Tree, its Timber, and its Gum, as well as pioneering in New Zealand.
An essential stop in Northland, The Kauri Museum is worth including in every New Zealand sightseeing and heritage tour. The museum attracts visitors from all over the world including; Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Australia, and in the 1999/2000 period 85,000 people visited The Kauri Museum.
At the museum you can learn all about the life cycle of the versatile Kauri tree and how the tree has helped to shape the history of New Zealand.
